About SimpleTest

SimpleTest is building the next generation of AI-powered continuous testing for enterprise applications.

Enterprise applications like Salesforce, NetSuite, SAP, ServiceNow and nCino are highly customized, making software testing dramatically harder than testing traditional applications. SimpleTest uses AI to help teams create, automate, manage and continuously execute tests—with the goal of improving product quality, not simply generating more test cases.

We're an early-stage startup with an ambitious mission, and we're looking for our first marketing hire to help build the marketing engine from the ground up.

Overview

The Role

We're looking for a Marketing Manager / Growth Hacker who is part marketer, part product person, part technologist and part entrepreneur.

This is not a traditional marketing role where you wait for a strategy, execute campaigns and hand leads to sales.

You will own a large part of the marketing function and work directly with the founders across positioning, content, demand generation, developer marketing, events, outbound, community and growth experiments.

You should be someone who enjoys figuring things out, testing ideas quickly and taking ownership from "we should do this" → "I built it" → "here are the results."

Responsibilities

What You'll Own

  • Build and execute SimpleTest's growth and demand-generation strategy
  • Develop messaging and positioning for developers, QA teams, Salesforce teams, IT leaders and business users
  • Create high-quality technical and thought-leadership content across LinkedIn, blogs, newsletters and other channels
  • Build campaigns around AI testing, Salesforce testing, test automation, enterprise application quality and developer productivity
  • Experiment with new growth channels and quickly double down on what works
  • Work closely with sales to create ABM, outbound and account-based campaigns
  • Build landing pages, campaigns, lead magnets, webinars and product-led growth experiments
  • Own marketing analytics and continuously improve traffic → engagement → leads → opportunities
  • Help build and manage SimpleTest's presence in the Salesforce ecosystem
  • Support events, conferences, meetups and developer/QA communities
  • Work with customers to turn their experiences into case studies, testimonials and content
  • Collaborate closely with product and engineering to translate technical capabilities into compelling customer stories
  • Use AI tools aggressively to increase marketing velocity and experimentation
Requirements

What We're Looking For

✦ Must Have
  • 2–5 years of marketing experience, preferably in B2B SaaS, developer tools, DevOps, testing, cybersecurity, infrastructure or enterprise software
  • Experience marketing and/or selling technical products to developers, engineers, QA or IT teams
  • Enough technical understanding to comfortably discuss concepts such as APIs, automation, CI/CD, browsers, test frameworks, AI/LLMs and enterprise applications
  • Strong writing and communication skills—you can turn a complex technical concept into a simple, compelling story
  • Hands-on experience with digital marketing, content, social media and demand generation
  • A growth mindset: you like experimenting, measuring and iterating
  • Comfortable working in ambiguity and building things from scratch
  • Strong ownership mentality—you don't need someone telling you what to do every day
◇ Great to Have
  • Experience with the Salesforce ecosystem
  • Salesforce certifications or experience working with Salesforce customers/partners
  • Experience with developer tools, DevOps, QA/testing or technical SaaS
  • Startup experience
  • Experience with PLG, ABM or developer/community-led growth
  • Experience with tools such as HubSpot, Google Analytics, LinkedIn, Clay, Apollo, SEMrush/Ahrefs or similar
  • Experience running webinars, events or conference programs
  • Basic understanding of SEO, paid acquisition and marketing automation
Culture Fit

The Person We're Looking For

You might be a great fit if you:

Think like a founder.

You see a problem and figure out how to solve it rather than waiting for instructions.

Are technical enough to be dangerous.

You don't need to be an engineer, but you should be comfortable talking to developers, QA engineers and architects.

Love experimentation.

You'd rather run 10 small growth experiments than spend three months creating the perfect marketing plan.

Can sell through storytelling.

You can explain why a new approach to enterprise testing matters without drowning people in technical jargon.

Want to grow with a startup.

This is an opportunity to become the person who builds the marketing function—not simply someone who manages one piece of it.

Onboarding

Your First 90 Days

In the first 90 days, we'd expect you to:

01
Understand our product, customers and competitive landscape
02
Refine our ICP, positioning and messaging
03
Build a repeatable content and social engine
04
Launch multiple demand-generation experiments
05
Establish a basic marketing analytics/dashboard framework
06
Build campaigns targeting high-value Salesforce and enterprise accounts
07
Create a pipeline of content, webinars and customer stories
08
Identify the 2–3 channels that can become our primary growth engines
09
Work directly with the founders and sales team to generate measurable pipeline
Opportunity

Why Join SimpleTest?

This is an opportunity to join very early and have an outsized impact.

You won't be joining a large marketing organization with a narrowly defined job description. You'll help define what marketing at SimpleTest becomes.

If we succeed, you'll have the opportunity to grow from first marketing hire → marketing leader, while helping build a category around AI-powered quality management for enterprise applications.

If you're technical, curious, entrepreneurial and want to build—not just execute—we'd love to hear from you.

Apply

Ready to build something great?

Send us your resume and, ideally, 2–3 examples of something you built or grew—a campaign, community, content program, product launch, growth experiment or anything else that demonstrates how you think.
